Countless highly lustrous cognac-colored titanite (sphen) with good quality: For alpine titanite the cognac-like color is by far less common than the well-known green titanite from Pinzgau. The quality and luster is excellent. The crystals show a sharp termination with highly transparent und translucent color. The crystals reach a size of up to 1.2 cm. The special discovery comes from more than 2800 meters above sea level. Due to the high altitude the cleft was only accessible for a few weeks during summer.
