Description

On a matrix of lamproite, which is a very rare ultrapotassium volcanic rock worldwide, also known as Fortunite, Jumillite, Cancarite or Cancarixite, a series of crystallizations of chayesite and rodderite have been developed, which are blue or brown crystals, they are hexagonal lamellar prisms, but they are millimetric and it is very difficult to photograph them. In the specimen, initially the rodderite is blue and the chayesite is orange-brown and yellowish, but since it is a continuous series it is almost impossible to know where one ends and the other begins. The specimen presents a series of cavities where crystallizations of what may be calcite that reacts to ultraviolet light can be seen. A very interesting specimen.
