Description

Excellent specimen with lots of dark bottle-green elongated demesmaekerite crytals in contrast to green malachite. Some of the crystals are in parts bi-coloured (dark bottle green to light olive green). In association with a well-formed group of dark green derriksite crystals (shown in picture 4 and 5). Richly set specimen with lots of crystal aggregates.

Specimen from type locality for both minerals. Demesmaekerite is only known from three localities, Derriksite only from two localities worldwide. Two rarities on one specimen in high quality.

From the collection of Luc VANDENBERGHE, longtime mindat member and famous Belgian u-mineral collector. Specimen of a very well kept collection.
