Description

Fine and interesting specimen of a beige-brown elongated samarskite-(Y) crystal. The crystal-aggregate measures 2.7 centimetres (!) in length. All the beige-brownish is samarskite-(Y), in association with 2.4 centimetre long columbite-(Fe) crystal.

This is a really old specimen which was called “Ampangabeit” at the first time. Comes from an old find from 1907 (regarding to the enclosed label).
