You are bidding on a refractometer and a 76-piece certified set of “Index of Refraction Liquids.”

A refractometer is a measuring device for determining the refractive index of transparent substances, whether liquid or solid. It can therefore be used as an identification aid.

The refractometer comes with an original instruction manual in French and an additional one in German. The refractometer is also in its original wooden box. It is a French product, although the German manual states the year 1951. The liquid set is an American product.

The products have not been tested for functionality and are intended more for collecting historical identification aids or for decorative purposes. The condition is very good and it comes from the collection of Dr. Gerhard Jung.

The total weight is just under 3.9 kg.
