Description

Great and large specimen with a huge baumhauerite crystal aggregate in a cavity in association with two scleroclase crystals (now called sartorite), high in contrast on typical light matrix. Great collection specimen of large size and quality. The large baumhauerite crystal measures 0.7 centimetres in length, which is extensive. The large scleroclas crystal next to it is also significant. Crystals of this size are rarely offered.

Specimen from type locality for both minerals (baumhauerite and scleroclase). Baumhauerite is only known form a few localities worldwide.

Comes with a beautiful label from the Natural History museum in Bern (Switzerland). The inventory number (A4325 / L4866), which is noted on the label, is also attached to the side of the specimen. Old-timer from a find in 1966.

Important note: All specimens in this auction are from the renowned collection of Dr. Gerhard JUNG (Hagendorf specialist, after whom the mineral Jungite was named). Dr. Jung was very meticulous regarding the provenance of his pieces.
