Description

Erikapohlite belongs to the great rarities of the Tsumeb Mine. Here is an absolutely rare specimen with lots of blue erikapohlite (IMA2010-090) on matrix. Examined holotype material.

Erikapohlite is a type locality mineral in Tsumeb Mine and only known form ONE locality worldwide. Extremely rare.

Named for Erika Pohl-Ströher (18 January 1919 - 18 December 2016), who I personally met within my time at the Universitiy in Freiberg, where her personal collection is shown (Terra Mineralia).

Short note: This one is not from the JUNG collection, but fits perfectly with the Tsumeb theme.
