Description

Beautiful specimen with a large and well-formed cerussite-star on matrix. The cerussite crystal aggregate shows a typical twinned shape and is in perfect condition. In association with lots of green mottramite crystals (formerly known as psittacinite). The cerussite-star measures around 4 centimetres in length. Optically very assuming.

Important note: The specimens are from the renowned collection of Dr. Gerhard JUNG (Hagendorf specialist, after whom the mineral Jungite was named). Dr. Jung was very meticulous regarding the provenance of his pieces. The previous owner is often noted - it is noticeable that Dr. Jung apparently had good contacts with the famous Tsumeb collectors Walter Richard KAHN (Warikahnite) and Wolfgang BARTELKE (Bartelkeite) from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. Many of the pieces originally came from the hands of the aforementioned pioneers. The specimens of the JUNG collection with first-class and documented provenience are presented here.
