Description

A rare specimen of the famous chrysocolla (Eilat Stone) from the historic copper region near Eilat in Israel. The Eilat Stone takes its name from the city of Eilat, where it was once mined, and is the national stone of Israel. Locally, it is also known as the King Solomon Stone. The piece is polished on one side to showcase its colors and internal patterns. It comes from the systematic collection of Albert Strasser and was acquired in the 1960s. The original collection label is included.
