Description

This exceptional specimen features white cryolite crystals and cryolite cleavage faces in combination with olive-brown, translucent siderite rhombs, exhibiting clear and well-defined cleavage. It comes directly from the most famous locality for this mineral species – the type locality Ivigtut in southwest Greenland. A classic and rare highlight for any mineral collection. The specimen originates from the systematic collection of Albert Strasser and was acquired in 1978. The original Albert Strasser collection label is included.
