Description

An interesting pegmatite pocket piece from a well known California locality. This is an old-time specimen and likely originated from the Hercules Mine, Ramona, San Diego County. A single terminated quartz crystal is surrounded by cleavelandite rosettes and muscovite. A second quartz crystal has broken off and the attachment point remains visible. Spessartine garnets are present on the backside of the specimen as well as in micro-pockets formed by the cleavelandite and muscovite. MinID: 1617925
