Description

Quadratite is a rare mineral belonging to the sulfide and sulfosalt class. It usually occurs as tiny, thick, tabular crystals. Its color often varies between dark gray and black. Quadratite is of particular interest to collectors and scientists because the crystals are typically only a few millimeters in size. It is often found in association with other rare minerals such as jordanite or greenockite. This specimen also shows quadratite as a black, metallic tabular crystal, together with jordanite and greenockite.
