Description

Parabutlerite is a secondary mineral that typically forms through the oxidation of pyrite or other sulfide minerals in arid climates. It often forms small, prismatic or tabular crystals that are typically pale orange to pale orange-brown in color. In transmitted light, it appears bright yellow. Parabutlerite also forms small orange crystals together with ferricopiapite.
