Description

Belloite is a rare copper mineral belonging to the halide class, officially recognized as a new mineral only in 2000. Belloite forms as a secondary mineral in the oxidation zone of copper deposits under extremely dry (arid) conditions. It appears as dark green patches on matrix containing some small crystals. The specimen is contained in an airtight container and should not be opened.
