Description

Monohydrocalcite (formerly also hydrocalcite) is a hydrous mineral belonging to the carbonate class. It forms spherical aggregates of a light blue color, as determined by EDS and XRD. The blue color is due to impurities. To prevent water loss from the mineral, the sample is hermetically sealed and should therefore not be opened.
