Description

Canutite is a rare arsenate mineral from the alluaudite supergroup, officially recognized by the IMA in 2013. It is a secondary mineral formed by the oxidation of native arsenic and other arsenic-containing phases under extremely dry conditions. On this specimen, it forms perfect, brown crystals together with magnesiocoritnigite on matrix.
