Description

Pseudolaueite is a secondary phosphate mineral with the chemical composition Mn²⁺Fe³⁺2(PO₄)₂(OH)₂ · 8H₂O It typically occurs as orange-yellow to honey-yellow, translucent crystals. The type locality is the Hagendorf-Süd pegmatite quarry in the Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. There, it often forms as crustal or substitute crystals for stewartite in complexly zoned granite pegmatites. On this sample, the mineral also forms the typical monoclinic crystals of a brownish-yellow color.
