Description

Tangdanite is a secondary mineral belonging to the phosphate, arsenate, and vanadate mineral class. It was first scientifically described in 2014 and named after its type locality, the Tangdan Mine in Yunnan Province, China. The mineral forms radiating, flaky, or flocculent aggregates of small crystals ranging in color from emerald green to deep green, often accompanied by some azurite.
