Description

Juansilvaite is a rare secondary mineral belonging to the phosphate, arsenate, and vanadate class. It was recognized by the IMA in 2015 and officially described in 2017. It is named in honor of the Chilean mining engineer Juan Silva Aguirre. It forms platy crystals arranged in radially radiating or rounded aggregates and has a bright pink color.
