Description

Here we have a beautiful and rare example of so called gold ruby glass from the famous Wiesenthalhütte in Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany. This glass smelting facility was founded in 1886 by Ludwig Breit and was first producing glass buttons. From 1930 on the production was changed to Bar glass which was made in over 400 different colours. From 1957 to 1982 they focused on hollow glass production. The particular example is a hollow glass vase made of this unique gold ruby glass. It has no cleaved or damaged spots so it is in perfect condition all around. It is from an old Bavarian collection and will be delivered with the old label from the pre owner.
