Description

Attractive pink roselite crystals perched on a matrix of translucent to milky quartz from the classic Rappold Mine, Schneeberg district, Erzgebirge, Saxony. The roselite occurs as vivid pink to reddish-pink crystalline aggregates with a strong color contrast against the pale quartz matrix.

Roselite from Schneeberg is well known among collectors for its intense coloration and aesthetic association with quartz, formed in cobalt-rich hydrothermal veins characteristic of the Erzgebirge ore field. The Rappold Mine is a historically important locality for cobalt and nickel minerals and has produced some of the finest German roselite specimens.

This piece represents a classic European locality specimen, combining good color, clear mineral association, and solid provenance.
