Previously indicated locality: Larderello, Pomarance, Pisa Province, Tuscany.
These prismatic crystals (selenite) from "Rosignano" have an anthropogenic origin, i.e. they formed on the internal surfaces of the transportation pipes of salt brine from the halite deposits of Buriano (Montecatini Val di Cecina) and Saline di Volterra (Volterra) to the soda factory of Rosignano Solvay. In the center an almost 80 mm tall vertical main crystal, all other crystals grew in all directions. They are all very glossy and show these typical dark phantoms. Rare material in our days, in excellent condition.
