Description

Here we have a very attractive matrix piece from Salzburg in Austria. Dozens of well-formed epidote crystals rise from the matrix in sharp, elongated habits, accompanied by beautifully contrasting augite. The epidote shows areas of good clarity and a bright, lustrous surface that reflects the classic alpine character of this locality. A fine combination specimen with strong colour, structure, and overall presence.
