Description

Well-crystallized titanite crystal with sharp, lustrous faces and an intense green color, perched prominently on a contrasting alpine matrix. The crystal is distinctly elevated and clearly separated from the host rock, giving the specimen a strong three-dimensional presentation. From the Felbertal, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Austria, a classic Alpine Type Cleft locality known for well-formed titanite crystals associated with feldspar- and quartz-rich matrix. The crystal is complete and aesthetically positioned, making this a solid representative specimen from this classic Austrian locality.
