Description

Well-developed single titanite crystal, showing sharp, well-defined crystal faces and a strong cognac-brown coloration. The crystal is largely isolated and clearly formed, with good luster and balanced proportions. From the Dorfer Valley, East Tyrol, Austria, an Alpine Type Cleft locality known for distinctly colored titanite crystals of this habit. A clean and representative Austrian alpine specimen.
