Description

High-quality amethyst crystal from the Austrian Alps, collected at Saurüssel, Mörchner Kar, Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria, a scarce Alpine Type Cleft occurrence. The specimen is a well-developed amethyst scepter, showing sharp, crisp edges and a clean, well-proportioned termination. Color is an even and attractive violet, with a distinctly darker shaft containing minor chlorite inclusions. Several natural window faces are present, clearly visible and well preserved. A small but refined alpine amethyst specimen from a difficult and rarely available locality, representing material that is seldom seen on the market.
