Description

Well-developed epidote crystal cluster from the Knappenwand, one of the world’s most important Alpine Type Cleft localities for this species. The specimen reaches nearly 8 cm in size and consists of densely intergrown, sharply formed epidote crystals with a deep green color and strong vitreous to metallic luster. Crystal faces are well defined, with robust, blocky habits typical for high-quality Knappenwand material. A solid, representative alpine epidote specimen showing excellent crystallization and overall integrity.
