Description

Here we have a very attractive combination specimen from Russia, featuring a well-formed and strongly dominant pyrrhotite crystal. The crystal sits prominently and displays a robust, clearly defined habit with excellent presence on the matrix.

The contrasting matrix is composed of quartz, calcite, and galena, creating a visually rich and mineralogically interesting association. Notably, small galena crystals are also present directly on the surface of the pyrrhotite, adding an extra layer of complexity and appeal to the specimen.

Overall, this is a highly aesthetic piece with genuine mineralogical significance, offering both strong visual contrast and a noteworthy paragenesis for collectors of classic and well-associated specimens.
