Description

Here we have an attractive matrix specimen from the Czech Republic featuring a rare association of freibergite and sphalerite. The piece shows several well-formed freibergite crystals distributed across the matrix, including one notably larger and clearly defined crystal. Freibergite is an uncommon sulfosalt species with only a limited number of confirmed localities worldwide, which makes specimens of this quality particularly difficult to obtain. The contrasting textures and mineralization provide a clear and informative representation of this classic Central European occurrence.
