Description

Here we have a fine Austrian rarity, a lazulite specimen from the Färbergergraben near Werfen, Salzburg. The aggregate consists of several intergrown crystals forming a compact and well-defined cluster. The specimen shows an intense blue coloration that represents the upper range typically seen for Austrian lazulite, combined with locally sharp edges and areas of natural surface luster. Lazulite from this classic locality is rarely available, and pieces of this quality are particularly sought after by collectors of Alpine and Austrian minerals.
