Description

Here we have a mineral rarity for Austria, a tetrahedrite variety known as schwazite, from Brixlegg, Tyrol. The specimen shows well-developed tetrahedrite crystals with clearly defined forms and naturally metallic luster on several crystal faces. Schwazite from this classic Tyrolean locality is rarely encountered in collectible quality, and pieces with visible crystal development are particularly scarce. A strong and representative specimen from an important historic mining area.
