Description

Here we have a fine epidote specimen from the world-renowned Knappenwand. The piece consists of several intergrown epidote crystals forming a compact and well-structured aggregate. The crystals show sharply defined faces with a strong natural luster, and parts of the specimen display good transparency. This allows the characteristic color range of epidote from this locality to be seen clearly, from deep green to greenish-brown tones. A representative and well-developed example from one of the most important Alpine epidote localities.
