Description

Here we have a fine epidote on matrix specimen from the world-famous Knappenwand. The specimen is dominated by a well-developed central epidote crystal, which shows good transparency combined with an attractive green coloration. Most crystal faces display a strong natural luster, while the surrounding matrix is richly covered with additional epidote growth, creating a well-balanced and classic Alpine appearance. A very solid and representative example from this iconic locality.
