Description

A very nice pyrite specimen from the Habachtal, Austria. A well formed exposed crystal sits prominently on a contrasting light and dark banded matrix, creating a very aesthetic presentation. The crystal shows the typical cubic habit of pyrite with bright metallic luster.

Pieces from this alpine locality are always interesting, especially when the crystal is so clearly visible on the matrix. A classic and very displayable specimen.
