Description

A very attractive matrix specimen from Romania featuring a beautifully developed spherical pyrite. The metallic crystal shows a rich golden luster and displays an interesting internal structure where pyrite growth is partially intergrown with calcite. The rough and textured matrix contrasts nicely with the smooth, rounded form of the pyrite, creating a visually striking composition. The specimen has excellent display presence and represents a classic and aesthetic combination from this well-known European mineral locality.
