Description

Glossy dark green interpenetrated crystals of clinochlore from Cap Corsica, in the Bastia peninsula. They are hexagonal shaped crystals, stacked in nice lustrous groups with the characteristic bright green colour. They are cemented by brown lustrous crystals likely vesuvianite. Specimens from the Corsica Island are scarce in collections and this big clinochlore surpass 0.5 Kg. It was labelled as ripidolite, but no analysis has confirm that variety here.

Acquired in 13/8/1992. Ex Gustaf collection #877, with his handwritten label.
