Description

An over 0.5 Kg halite specimen of translucent stacked cubes that reach 25 mm of edge, on a cluster of smaller cubes of about 1 cm in size. Under short UV light the crystals get an intense orange colour, with nice phantoms. This fluorescence is typical if Mn2+ replaces Na+ as activator.

Acquired in 25/06/1994 to Jerry Loza. Ex Gustaaf collection #220, with his handwritten label.
