Description

Scarce and hard to find attractive oldy from M'sesa. Only a handful of such pieces are known. It is a group of interpenetrated euhedral crystals of cuprite with waxy lustre, that have been replaced by dark blue plancheite, and are surrounded by light blue chrysocolla and black lustrous heterogenite patches. Part of the chrysocolla could be easily cleaned but I prefer to leave it as it is. The original cuprite crystals were rhombic dodecahedrons, with some corners modified by triangular faces of the octahedron.

It was collected before 1968 by Martíal Borzée, a Belgian colonist to Congo. Ex Martíal Borzée.
