Description

Pyrite crystals imbedded in a slate matrix, rich in graphite and white lustrous fossilized graptolites. This slate of Llandovery age was intensively exploited during the XIX century in El Muyo area, to extract graphite. The Llandovery is the oldest epoch of the Silurian period, that run for about 10 million years (443.8 to 433.4 million years ago). This specimen is of good size, very rich in pyrite and graptolites and has the two parts, positive and negative, that will be delivered to the buyer.
