Description

Very rich specimen of waxy black pitchblende with minor chalcocite from the Moab area of Utah (possibly the Mi Vida mine). This is material collected 50+ years ago by famous northwest USA mineralogist Bart Cannon. Specimens of this material that are this rich are quite tough to find these days! Measures ~110,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
