Description

The Apex Uranium mine in central Nevada is a classic but seldom-seen locality for vivid lime-green autunite crystals on matrix. This is a great example of this attractive and uncommon material, collected decades ago by veteran field collector Martin Jensen. Abundant lime-green tabular crystals completely cover a brecciated iron-rich matrix. Brilliant green fluorescence under long and shortwave U.V. light. Rare!
