Description

Outstanding specimen of highly-lustrous, super gemmy emerald green metatorbernite crystals on malachite and uranium ore matrix, festooned with minute but brilliant orange kasolite crystals, from the famous Musonoi Mine, Kolwezi, Kolwezi mining district, Mutshatsha, Lualaba, DR Congo. While small individually, the quality of these torbernite crystals in superb (much better in person!) and under a loupe the combination with the kasolite is simply dazzling. Measures ~170,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Survey Meter with the 44-9 probe. From the noted collection of John Dagenais.
