Description

Possibly the most uncommon specimen of the current auction!

This is a portion of an opal vein from the ignimbrite outcrops of the road to Paliochori, in the volcanic island of Milos.

A thick and large vein formed into very fine material, often altered into clay (mostly montmorillonite), I believe it could be polished to perfection.
