Description

Fine childrenite crystals on quartz point, from the classic George & Charlotte Mine, a well-known British locality for this species.

The childrenite occurs as well-individualized, short prismatic crystals, displaying an attractive honey to golden-brown coloration, translucent, with a vitreous to slightly resinous luster. The crystals are sharp, well-defined, and often well terminated, nicely arranged along and on the quartz crystal faces.

The quartz, white to slightly milky, forms a distinct crystal point that provides an excellent visual contrast, enhancing the warm tones and crisp geometry of the childrenite. Minor microcrystals and inclusions add texture and visual depth to the specimen.

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled
