Description

Spectacular micromount featuring a perfectly formed cubic cuprite crystal, associated with radiating sprays of bright green atacamite, from the classic locality of Madonna di Fucinaia.
The cuprite occurs as a sharp, well-isolated cube, with smooth, highly reflective faces showing a deep reddish-brown to dark red color and an adamantine to submetallic luster. The crystal geometry is crisp and highly readable, giving the specimen a strong graphic appeal.
Atacamite forms fine acicular to prismatic sprays, vivid green to emerald-green in color, radiating around the cuprite cube. This association creates a striking chromatic and textural contrast, greatly enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The dark, discreet matrix provides an ideal background, highlighting the deep red cuprite and the bright green atacamite.
