Description

Spectacular micromount featuring beautiful radiating aggregates and sprays of erythrite, developed on a dark matrix, from the historic locality of Jáchymov.
Erythrite occurs as very fine acicular crystals, arranged in sprays and rosette-like clusters, sometimes overlapping, forming an airy and three-dimensional structure. The pink to purplish-pink color is vivid and highly saturated, perfectly characteristic of the species. The crystals display a vitreous to silky luster, strongly reflecting light and producing numerous sparkling highlights at microscopic scale.
The dark matrix provides a strong chromatic contrast, emphasizing the delicacy of the needles and the richness of the crystallization. The overall composition is dynamic and highly photogenic, typical of the finest erythrite specimens from Jáchymov.
