Description

Beautiful micro-specimen of cumengeite from the world-famous Legrena (Laurion) mining district, Greece, a legendary locality for rare secondary copper–lead minerals.
The crystals display a striking deep electric-blue color and occur as well-formed polyhedral microcrystals, clearly standing out against a pale matrix, likely composed of cerussite / calcite and typical whitish alteration products.

What immediately catches the eye is the highly saturated blue tone — almost “neon-like” — creating an exceptional contrast with the chalky white background. The crystals are nicely distributed in small groups, showing sharp edges and strong relief, giving the specimen a very graphic and spectacular appearance under magnification.

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled
