Description

Very attractive Australian zeolite micromount from Little Bird Rock, featuring a particularly aesthetic thomsonite.

The specimen displays a striking area of translucent lamellar thomsonite, white to colourless, arranged in fan-shaped sprays and sheaves. These crystals appear as parallel blades, often spreading outward in a feather-like pattern, producing a very graphic “frosted” texture. Under illumination, the faces show a vitreous to slightly pearly lustre, with strong reflections along the sharp edges. The natrolite isn't visible on the photo.

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled

FoV : 3.00mm
