Description

The specimen has an extensive deposit of smithsonite with mimetite, mostly occuring with minor exposed sulphides. Mimetite in beautifully formed tapering hexagonal long crystals. Some are so pure that that they are clear with slightly yellow and darker yellow as well. The smithsonite crystals dominate. The shallow rhombic crystals have a 'bladed' presence. The smithsonite is transparent and many whorls reveal an 'eye' of dark black grey sulphide material in t he deep core. Some of the mimetite are not complete.
