Description

The specimen consists of prismatic crystals of manganvesuvianite on hausmannite ore body with a measure of pyramidal crystals of hausmannite outcropping. The vesuvianite also has massive patches included in the matrix. The vesuvianite has a dark maroon colour and some crystals show a deep sherry colour when backlit. There is a purple presence in the matrix that would be piemontite-(Sr).
